Cem Özdemir visits BOGE

A sniff of compressed air for the day: BOGE fulfilled this wish for Cem Özdemir on 21 February. The chairman of BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN travelled from Berlin to Bielefeld-Jöllenbeck at the personal invitation of the managing partner of BOGE Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven. He spent a typical working day at BOGE. The managing owner gave the Green party politician hands-on experience of the business on the shop floor. With a click of the mouse at the computer, Cem Özdemir gave approval for the production of a prototype. BOGE technicians told him about the challenges involved in producing sustainable compressed air equipment. One example was developing efficient storage for renewable energy. There was also a lively discussion about the problem of finding suitably qualified staff in the industry and the consequences of excessive red-tape. All in all, Cem Özdemir's visit proved to be a real highlight!
