New position created: Digital innovation manager
Aljoscha Schlosser

Digital innovations are crucial for competitiveness – under this premise, BOGE KOMPRESSOREN has now created the position of digital innovation manager: since 1 September 2017 Aljoscha Schlosser has been responsible for innovation management for digital compressed air systems and services. Trained as an economist, his central task is to advance the course of digitalisation in the family-run company.

“We have been investing in digitalisation for years and we recognised the importance of the Internet of Things early on”, says Thorsten Meier, CEO of BOGE. “To build up our innovation management and make our activities more systematic, we have created the position of digital innovation manager. Aljoscha Schlosser is the ideal candidate for this.” The new position is tied to company management. The tasks of Aljoscha Schlosser include identification of innovation potential as well as implementation in the form of new digital products and services in line with the market. Forward-looking concepts, among other things, should be tested and made ready for the market according to lean start-up methods. This is carried out in cooperation with Sales, Product Management, IT, Technical Development and Service, as well as with selected partners and customers. As a digital trend scout, Aljoscha Schlosser also takes over the conception of new business models and the testing of promising technologies. Describing his motivation, Aljoscha Schlosser says: “What is appealing about innovation management at BOGE is that I have a wide design scope and we can offer our customers additional significant added value through digitalisation”.  The perfecting of BOGE Analytics is among the current projects – this is intelligent data analysis that helps to optimally increase the performance of the high speed turbo compressor individually for the customer. Examples of other topics are the intelligent networking of compressed air systems and the simplification of services using data glasses.

Aljoscha Schlosser has been with Boge since 2011. The industrial manager and economist (VWA) completed dual studies in the field of business administration (Bachelor of Arts) with Boge. In his previous post he worked as a management assistant for three years. During this period his core tasks included the coordination of initiatives in the context of Industry 4.0, as well as inter-departmental innovation projects, such as the development of the high speed turbo compressor.
